steel shafts is standard for these saws. These have been in use for over ten
years and no replacement parts have been requested by users. Also available as
an option are ball linear bearings. We have observed however that ball liner
bearings can run so freely that any small variation on the OD of the diamond cut
off blade or abrasive cut off blade while running can result in bounce at the
rim, especially when the blade is new. The bounce amplifies itself and results
in cracking and braking at the cut. one way to reduce this effect is to add a
considerable mass weight to the table which adds unnecessary load to the
bearings and is not recommended. We recommend our original bearings for better
rigidity, longer life, no lubrication and better feel of the cutting action.
