This information is designed to help you better understand the range of Materials universal application series diamond core drills may be implemented.

DIAMOND MESH / GRIT SIZE:

Diamond Drills 7/8" diameter and below are

Diamond Mesh/Grit Size: 40/60 ANSI*

This is typically considered a coarse diamond mesh size. This is designed to provide fast drilling performance for a large variety of ultra hard to soft materials. Depending on your surface finish quality requirements for some applications such as optical glass, pyrex, silicon wafers & other similar materials this could be to coarse. Finer diamond mesh size diamond core drills could be produced in these cases to meet your specific requirements.
